On November 18, 2022,Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) held "Annual Business Conference 2022" to summarize the listing and registrating activities in the two years of 2021 and 2022, as well as to meet and exchange with enterprises and regulatory agencies to exchange solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, aiming to build an open, transparent and fair stock market.
In 2022, Vietnam's stock market is heavily influenced by the global stock market when many countries implement tight monetary policies. Market capitalization of listed shares on HNX as of October 31, 2022 decreased by 48.42% compared to the end of 2021, liquidity dropped sharply to VND 963 billion/session, down 72.48% compared to 2021.
Even so, enterprises listed and registered for trading on HNX still successfully mobilized VND 64.5 trillion at par value through the issuance of shares to investors. In 2021 and the first 6 months of 2022, the business results of enterprises listed on the HNX increased comparing to 2020 and almost recovered to the level before the Covid 19 pandemic, averaged in 2021 and the first 6 months.
By 2022, more than 85% of listed companies will be profitable. In UPCoM market, 80% of enterprises are profitable, however, the business results of these enterprises have a large divergence, besides many enterprises with large profits and an increase compared to the previous year, many enterprises have losses (even had negative equity and be restricted transactions).
